The club will be reintroducing the Giuseppe Pellegrini Awards Program for the 2021 season starting with the first awards for April being presented to players within the miniroos and junior teams on 11th May at 7.00 pm within the Clubrooms.

Overview of the Program

This award is based on Giuseppe Pellegrini’s commitment to improve dedication, persistence, discipline, team spirit and respect. The Club believes that all players should aspire to achieve these attributes.
To encourage these qualities, the club has introduced the Eastern United, Giuseppe Pellegrini Ambassador’s Award. The purpose of the award is to encourage and help instil the professional ethos in soccer players associated with Eastern United. By developing these qualities, it is the belief of the club that above all, that our players will demonstrate excellence, on and off the field.

How does it work?

Coaches from each age group will nominate a player for this award using a set of criteria to assist in their judgement. The coaches will forward player names to a dedicated subcommittee who will finalise the successful nominees.
Awards such as vouchers will be presented to the finalists at the start of each month.
It is envisaged that Giuseppe Pellegrini will present these awards to the nominated players.
It should not be unusual for one player to be a success finalist on more than one occasion. However, the program should encourage all players to strive to achieve the behaviours expected by our club.

A checklist will be provided to coaches to assist in nominating players each month. The checklist will provide better transparency in completing the process.

We encourage parents to stay and have a meal with their child/ren prior to the award presentations. Chicken nuggets, hot chips, hotdogs and chicken/salad rolls will be available for everyone.
